Join NISE for an unforgettable evening celebrating Black culinary traditions. This event is designed to unite the community, enjoy exquisite food, and immerse ourselves in the rich history of African American cuisine.
Dinner Menu by Soul Secrets: Enjoy a catered meal featuring classic dishes from Black food traditions. We will highlight the flavors and cultural significance of these beloved recipes.

Homework Assignment:
In preparation for the event, we encourage all attendees to watch the Netflix series “High on the Hog.” We’re asking attendees to watch at least Season 2, Episode 2: “The Black Mecca” and Episode 3: “The Defiance.”
This series explores the historical and cultural impact of African American cuisine and will enrich your appreciation of the meal.

Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities for open discussions and learning sessions centered around the Netflix series “High on the Hog.”
